By converting to Islam
or submitting to Allah, learn how to fulfil the purpose of your life ...
Islam is a profound spirited path that teaches tolerance, love respect and plurality.
Over a period of 23 years, surah by surah, verse by verse Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the Revelations of the Holy Qur'an.
Qur'an means recitation. Originally it was learned by heart and recited.
The second source is collections of the sayings of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and accounts of his deeds, actions and life style, remembered and reported by theose who knew him, close to him and knew him; known as "Ahadith" or "reports".
The Qur'an teaches people that if they truly wished to surrender to Allah they must become devout in their spiritual practice. Muslims pray five times a day while facing towrards the k'abah in the holy City of Makkah, to which Muslims are also required to make a pilgrimage at least once during their lifetime.
Muslims fast during the holy month of Ramadan. They fast from dawn till dusk. All work to be performed as devotion to Allah, and material generosity is seen as an essential spiritual quality.
Since the teachings of Islam encompass all aspects of life and ethics, God-consciousness is encouraged in all human affairs. Islam makes it clear that all human acts are acts of worship provided they are performed for Allah alone and in accordance to His Divine Scripture, the Holy Qur'an.
The worship in Islam is not limited to religious rituals and therefore it is more appropriately known as 'way of life' than just a religion.
The teachings of Islam are a mercy and a healing for the human soul and qualities such as humility, sincerity, patience and charity are stongly encouraged. Additionally, Islam condemns pride and self-righteousness, since Almighty Allah is the only judge of human righteousness.
He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god; the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme. Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they ascribe to Him.
[The Holy Qur'an, Surah 59:23]
ALLAH is an Arabic word. It is name of the same One and Only, Supreme Being who is
called God in English. He is the same God the Jews and Christians worship.
God says in His Book Quran: “Whatever name you call Him by, all
His names are beautiful.” [The Holy Qur'an, Surah 17:110]
